Must-Buy Authors

    Although I am a big fan of bookstores, I try not to buy books that I think I'll never reread. Usually I won't even buy books that I've never read before. However, like most readers, there are a couple authors whose names just pop out on a bookstore shelf, and I simply must buy their newest release. In this post, I'll be going over some of my must-buy authors.

Sarah J. Maas

    I'm definitely not the only person who will give my left pinky to get my hands on an SJM book. Although I'm not a huge fan of the more ~spicy~ scenes in her books, she's insanely talented, and her plots are so-well done that it's almost impossible to put her books down.

John Green

    I could talk for ages about how much I love John Green. His writing flows so easily that I can power through his books in just a few sittings. There's also the bonus of John Green paperbacks only being around ten bucks at the average bookstore.

Rick Riordan

    Everyone loves Percy Jackson, and pretty much everyone who loves Percy Jackson has read Rick Riordan's gigantic collection of other mythology-related middle grade books. Since he has such a great track record in that department, it doesn't take a lot of convincing for me to buy his books. (I feel like a liar saying this, having not yet purchased Daughter of the Deep, but I'll probably get around to it eventually.)

Karen M. McManus

    I was never a huge fan of mystery until I read One of Us Is Lying. After that, it was all over. I was a huge fan of McManus. Although her books are all pretty similar, they're so easy to read that I simply cannot help myself when I see an iconic Karen M. McManus cover.

Monica Tesler

    This is a bit of a throwback since the Bounders series has been complete for ages, but when the series was still being released, I begged my parents to get the new books for me. I still enjoy them now, despite the fact that they're really aimed towards the middle-grade demographic. If she ever releases another series, I would definitely be purchasing it.
