Weekly Update: November 5-11

    Hello friends! It's me!

It has been a hot minute (and a half). But alas, I am making my return! Life has been all over the place these past few months. I've been meaning to get back into reading and blogging and Instagram-ing, but it seems like something always came up. Now that I've finally had a minute to catch my breath and sit down at a computer, I'm excited to get re-started.

Unfortunately, between school and *actually sleeping* there is only so much time for my little hobbies, so I'm not going to be as active as usual. My goal is to get in about a book a week, with a couple of ARCs on top of that when I can fit them in.

So, without further adieu, let's get into what I'm hoping to read in the upcoming weeks!

  • Mere Christianity by CS Lewis
    • I'm usually not much of a theology books girlie, but I feel like this book kept getting brought up around me (irl and on the internet) and it was time for me to actually read it. I have not been disappointed hence far, so I'm really excited to post my thoughts.
  • The Search for Synergy by Brett Salter
    • This book is an ARC I received sometime last week. It's relatively short and fast-paced, and I'm enjoying it so far!
  • The Fallen Witch by Emma V.R. Noyes
    • *screech* When I got an email that this book was available as an ARC I lost my marbles. I reviewed the first book in the series back in May and really enjoyed it, so I'm stoked to jump back into Noyes' world.
  • Firekeeper's Daughter by Angeline Boulley
    • November is Native American Heritage Month, and I got this book just in time for it. The cover is absolutely gorgeous (I know, I'm a sucker for cover art). I understand that it deals with some important topics as well. I have a feeling that it's going to really resonate with me, so I'm definitely looking forward to getting to it.
That's really all I've got for this week. I hope you're all doing well! I'm so excited to get back to creating content and talking about books again!

Sending happy thoughts, good vibes, and chapters that don't end in cliffhangers!

Love,

Gurlaffe
